OUR STORY

At Green Forest Soaps & Salves, everything we make is guided by a simple belief: nature provides some of the finest ingredients for everyday skincare.

Our journey began in 2011 when we started making soap for our own family. What began as a small project quickly became a way of life. As we learned more about traditional soap making and natural ingredients, our hobby grew into a business, and before long, our handcrafted soaps were being offered in local stores.
In 2017, our daughter purchased a share of a salve business, bringing a new opportunity to our family. Two years later, we purchased the business and combined it with our soap-making tradition, creating Green Forest Soaps & Salves. Today, every bar of soap and every herbal salve reflects the same values that inspired us from the beginning—quality, craftsmanship, and a commitment to using natural ingredients.

A Family Farm Dedicated to Natural Living

Our family farm in Paradise, Pennsylvania, is more than where we make our products—it's the heart of everything we do.

In 2024, we began regenerating our pastures back to grass, grazing dairy cows, raising chickens, and caring for injured horses as they recover. We are proud to operate a chemical-free farm, and we're fortunate to have neighboring farmland that shares the same commitment.

Many of the herbs used in our salves are grown right here on our farm, allowing us to carefully harvest and prepare them for every batch we make.

We believe great skincare starts with great ingredients.
That's why our salves are crafted using fresh, live herbs instead of dried botanicals whenever possible. We carefully infuse these plants to capture their natural qualities before blending them into our handcrafted formulas.
